Reconstructed Scripts — Defocus and Encounter

HOW Art Museum, Shanghai,China

25 March – 10 April 2026

Curator · Group Exhibition

Reconstructed Scripts — Defocus and Encounter was presented at the VIP Gallery of HOW Art Museum, Shanghai, from 25 March to 10 April 2026. Featuring six artists — Chen Qiang, Fu Yao, Xie Caomin, Feng Zhijia, Jia Hui, and Kang Shixin — the exhibition examined the production, transformation, and instability of images within contemporary visual culture.

Centred on the curatorial logic of Defocus — Encounter — De-scripting, the exhibition explored how viewing is shaped by narrative, structure, and perceptual displacement. Unfolding as a theatrical and interpretive structure, it approached the gallery space as a generative system in which sequence, encounter, and spatial organisation actively reshape how meaning is read, interrupted, and reconstructed.
